Need To Know What To Expect When You Do The HCG Diet: Chad Shares All On Day 17

    By Amelia Handley

Need to know what to expect when you do the HCG diet? Well, just ask Chad...it's Day 17 for him on his homeopathic HCG diet. There have been a few ups and downs. But luckily for Chad, he's been able to identify some of his "bad" times during the day. He uses his weight loss journal as a tool to pinpoint his tendencies and habits. He's been doing the diet long enough so that he had developed a good routine (supplements, eating and weigh ins daily)...but then...wouldn't you know it! Something happened to disrupt him! He moved.

Chad weighed himself first thing on the morning of Day 17. He was at 230 pounds. And that's an increase of 4 pounds! Whoa! Why did that happen, did you say? Well...as we mentioned...Chad moved. This is a great example for those of you on the diet or thinking about being on the diet. You have to time the diet apppropriately. In an ideal world, you wouldn't be on this diet during a big move. It's very strict and takes effort to follow in the most sedate of times, but when in the midst of the chaos that typically coincides with a move...it would be even more difficult. Time the diet appropriately by attempting to avoid dieting during any of the following scenarios:

    1. Being a host or hostess (with a visitor staying at your house, etc.)

    2. Staying as a guest in the home of someone else

    3. Enjoying a major holiday/celebration

    4. Birthdays you mean to celebrate

    5. Road trips!

The move for Chad took place over the weekend. And he didn't really consider prior to departure how he was going to manage to eat "on plan" meals while on the road. Therefore it was nearly impossibe for him to do so. He was just so busy with the project of moving that he blew off the thought that is required for the diet. He said, "You know! You've done it. You just get so busy with one project that another falls to the wayside. Sad, but true." Just to be clear exactly how off plan this past weekend got...Chad truly indulged. He had Diet Coke, ice cream and pizza. And none of that is anywhere near being on plan.

Chad has made a few very bad choices. Misbehavior should be punished so that the individual making poor choices learns their lesson. And in this case, the misbehavior was definitely punished.

But the fact that Chad went up 4 lbs so fast after all his hard work is giving him the inspiration that he needs to get right back on the diet. He is re-dedicating himself as of this moment. And he is hoping to lose those 4 lbs that snuck back in when he wasn't watching...fast.

He's more excited than ever to get back on the scale tomorrow on Day 18. He wants to see those four pounds drop off so he can get back on track and start heading toward his weight loss goal again. He's bothered that he wasted some of his time, but he's ready to get back on the road to better health through weight loss again.
